USA! USA! USA!

I cannot tell you how excited we are about the Olympics being on! To call us "Olympic Junkies" would be putting it mildly. We love the snowboarding events, the snowcross, freestyle skiing, and even curling. There is so much drama that goes on at the Olympics, which is another reason why I love it. I especially love to hear the background stories of the athletes. Where they came from and how hard they have worked to get where they are today. Athletes like Bode Miller and Linsday Jacob-Ellis-whose performances are more about redemption than anything. Last Olympics Bode partied too much the night before and did not perform well, and Lindsay had the gold wrapped up, but tried a showboat trick and fell. She won the silver, but lost the gold. See what I mean? So much drama! I should be an announcer or something for NBC. All that to say, from the Opening Ceremony to the very end, the Clayton household will be rooting for the red, white, and blue. We are starting Charlie on this tradition early!! Here he and daddy are playing, or training for the Olypmics,,however you want to see it. So far he has the event of drooling locked up pretty much...

If there was a baby event for "widest mouth opening" Charlie would win hands down!

We are working on the event of " Sitting Up"....he is about the bronze in this one....

oh, we took a break from the Ceremony (which was recorded) for a bite of nourishment with Trent and Kandace, who are expecting their second baby!!!

Back to training, Valentines Day, the event of helping daddy cook mommy dinner....Our young athlete does not look confident here..

Strawberry Pie from Shoneys...not a bad idea...

Flowers always help the judges with their decision...

Notice the concentration from our athlete here...

Charlie settled for green beans and rice cereal... the prep was taking too long...

Overall yummy dinner! Gold medal for daddy and Charlie! Now back to the intense training for the 2026 Games... practicing rings now.....

He already looks up to the athletes now....

Taking a break from all the training with daddy..we do have some time to work on a few things..

Winter Week Pt 2

ok, so part two...actually the only reason there is a part two is because computer illiterate Meredith erased a picture somehow and couldn't figure out how to get it back. At least I am honest about my lack of blogger skills (as if you have not already noticed)

just gave Charlie some more Benadryl before we got on the plane,,,can you tell?

the snow man was a little pathetic,,,but a good prop to sit him on!

Uncle Charlton and Aunt Jennifer will be providing a cousin in July! Cant wait!!

Ash and Whit trying to put the puzzle together...can you see how mentally exhausting this puzzle was?

we had such a great time in Beaver Creek, Colorado this year! so good that Ash and I are going back in Feb and taking Cilla along with us! Can you see mom on a snowboard? Neither can I, which is why she will be our nanny for the long weekend! More pics from that later.....

Winter Week Pt 1

We just returned from our annual trip to Colorado to do some snowboarding. It was a super fun trip, but different with this little nugget that is constantly attached to me. :) Our trip began with the airport and all the baby gear (junk) i had to take...oh..and in this first photo Charlie looks a little drugged because we gave him a teeny tiny bit of Benadryl:) I was so nervous to fly with him in fear that he would scream the whole time. Apparently others shared in that fear cause when we sat down people would move to other seats. So after the flight when he was good, i wanted to walk up to those people and say, "Oh, SNAP! He totally rocked this flight!!" But I refrained...

random photo---every year we put together a puzzle that is over 1000 pieces. this one just about made me want to jump off the mountain, but we finally finished the last night.
Nana and Aunt Ali loved to give Charlie attention,,,he was in no shortage of that this week:)

Uncle Whit and Aunt Ali--such a stinkin cute couple...

Three generations...

Playing at Granna and Poppers house Sunday with the snow....when we flew into Nashville Saturday I thought our pilot had turned around and landed us in Colorado!

Charlie just loves Boomer,,,:)

here we are totally forcing Charlie to take more pictures..
eating snow cream,,,yummy!

Ash and I out sledding,,seems you go faster when your younger and dont weigh as much. just my opinion :)
